Why choose Turkey for a property investment?

With its sparkling turquoise coast, a string of vibrant resorts and balmy year round temperatures, few would argue that you need any more excuses for buying a holiday home in Turkey. Visa Entry - We crossed from Greece and the procedure was relatively simple. The cost of the visa is 10euros per person. The Carnet de Passage was not apparently required. You will need your vehicle greencard and insurance. We did not have insurance so we had to purchase it at the border. This cost 70 euros for three months and only covered third party.
Diesel- Not that cheap. Over the two months we visited Turkey the cost ranged between 2,90YTL - 2,50YTL which is ...

For those of you who don�t know, a mullet is a groovy hairstyle (short on top, long at the back) that enjoys great popularity the world over. Apparently, this popularity extends to Turkey, because the captain of our gulet had a mullet. And, for those of you who don�t know, a �gulet� is a wooden yacht used for cruising the western Mediterranean (west to east, in our case) in Turkey on a �blue voyage�. But, I will get to our boat trip in a moment.

Apparently, this popularity extends to Turkey, because the captain of our gulet had a mullet. I, Michael, was still recovering from a running belly, and we were tired of traveling on buses for the previous 2 nights. Ayvalik is an old Greek Ottoman village set around a small sheltered bay looking toward the Greek island of Lesvos. We arrived to Goreme, located in the heart of Cappadocia, and were pleasantly surprised by the approach to the village from the dry lumpy landscape. Here there is a valley of the fantastic fairy chimneys (like the HooDoos of the Canadian Rockies). First nature carved these tall pinnacles and then humans carved churches, homes, and restaurants inside them. A great way to beat the heat as they maintain cool temperatures through out summer. Sitting having breakfast with the bus driver was a different experience , although we couldn't speak the same langue we still managed to fully coverse with each other .
We stopped at a tiny village for a coffee/ tea break on the jeep safari , it was a very basic cafe but the plain biscuits helped erase the bag taste left from the dirty toilets .Not daring to touch the lock due to the amount of dirt caked on the lock i was ill at ease the whole time , scared a local man would come in as they appeared to be unisex toilets .

A fun day out if you do not mind getting wet .The gorge has to be one of the highlights of the trip , you could spend all day their.The beach would have been a perfect place to snooze if the weather had been better but you weather is uncontrolable .The two ancient sites were nothing special after some of the others that i have seen during the day , but if you are passing they are worth a quick look.

After a really good visit in Istanbul, we headed out on a tour of some interesting parts of Turkey. Our first stop, after our first overnight bus, was the Cappadocia region in central Turkey. We got one free day in Goreme but were quite tired after the bus so we just hung around the hostel, our dorms were actually in a cave so that was pretty cool.
